Welcome to JimWoodMusic.net.
Our website is a work in progress; so, visit often to see what is new.
Also, please contact us with your events and such. We are very community oriented and want to provide a means by which
folks into fiddling and folk music can get together.
Jim and Inge Wood perform primarily as a duo and present and eclectic mixture of folk and fiddle music that reflects their
diverse backgrounds.
Jim, the five-time Tennessee Fiddle Champion and twenty-eight year veteran of the professional Nashville music scene,
performs on fiddle, mandolin, banjo, and guitar with the highlight being virtuoso fiddling in the contest, old-time,
Celtic, and swing styles. Inge, a native of Costa Rica, performs on guitar, bouzouki, and fiddle, and sings a wide
range of both original and traditional folk songs in English and Spanish.
Jim and Inge are also very committed to helping others to learn and offer a wide array of educational tools; so,
peruse our website to see how we can help you.
THERE ARE ONLY 25 CABINS LEFT ON THE BELL BUCKLE MUSIC CRUISE. LAST DAY TO SIGN UP IS NOVEMBER 19!
Inge and I are going to participate in the 6th annual Bell Buckle Music Cruise (hosted by Valerie Smith and Liberty Pike) this coming January and we would like to have you join the fun. We will leave from Tampa and stop in the Grand Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico, and all along the way each day and night will be jam packed with great concerts, workshops, jam sessions, and dancing. Check out www.BellBuckleCruise.com for the artist roster and all the details. There will be hot bluegrass, traditional country, old-time, and contradance music. For our part, Inge and I will do a really slam-dunk set of Western Swing with National Guitar Champion Robert Bowlin, Tennessee State Guitar Champion Josh Philpott, bassist and renowned songwriter Wil Maring, and our old buddy and fellow Berklee alum Rick Jobe on clarinet and lap steel. We will also provide the music for an exciting night of contradancing with Crissey Camp as our dance master, and we will all be doing workshops and leading jams.
For more information call Bell Buckle Records at 931-389-9694.
Thank you,
Jim
